First day off for a while, I'd promised I'd help one of the lads at the club with his DT project for school. He's been working on a Hydro-foil fin to fit my board. After a lot of playing around to get the bolts in, we finally got it on the water. I sailed off, all was well, it just felt as if it dragged a bit, as I got a little speed, but not planning , I thought I'd try to get it to come up on the foil. I put pressure onto my back foot and it stated to come up out of the water, as it did it snapped off ! Back to the drawing board! The idea worked , but it just needs to be stonger where the fin meets the finbox fitting. One idea now is to use an existing fin and mold the foil over the top of that.
